A very busy day

We had a very busy St Andrews Day today!

In the morning we climbed up Queen Mary’s Rock and enjoyed the views.

After break, eight of the P7s cooked Chicken Korma.

At lunchtime, four pupils played “Catch the King” to improve their chess skills while others enjoyed Scottish and food related books at our reading lunch.

30th November – Reading Lunch

All pupils are invited to join Miss Mullin for a reading lunch in P6/7 tomorrow! Books about food or Scotland would be especially good to share. Chess Club will still run as normal. Hope to see some of you tomorrow at 12:45pm. 🙂

HIGHLAND LITERACY

Reading Lunch: Thursday 30th November 2017

To celebrate positive reading habits during Book Week Scotland, Scottish Book Trust are encouraging children, young people and adults alike to share their love for reading on our national day, St Andrew’s Day, on the 30th of November through having a Reading Lunch.

Whether it be a cosy corner in the library or inside the school polytunnel, make lunchtime on the 30th of November a time for sharing what you love to read with a Reading Lunch. Reading Lunches are for everyone, so whether you’re at your desk, in the staffroom or in the canteen, crack open a good book at lunchtime.

Our P7 JRSOs led a fantastic assembly this morning, to promote “Be Safe Be Seen.”  This was a fitting end to Road Safety Week 2017.  The full details of their assembly can be found in the JRSO section of the school website.  All four JRSOs are our stars of the week.  Well done Eilidh, Freya, Grace and Sam!
