We have been learning about the risks associated with drinking alcohol and smoking, using resources from NHS Highland’s Health Information and Resources Service. This has allowed us to examine models, and learn information using board games, card games and “catch the ball” quickfire question games. Did you know, there are over 4,000 different chemicals in cigarette smoke?
The Highland Council Substance Misuse Framework details the learning intentions and success criteria that we have been using over the last few weeks.
The Highland Substance Awareness Toolkit website has a section designed for parents and carers. It contains up to date information and advice targeted specifically at parents and carers about drugs, alcohol, tobacco and e-cigarettes. Click here to visit the site.
